Tired of trying to pull into traffic and even with the slightest wheel spin the Lexus traction control activates, shutting the throttle and cutting off engine power to the point of not being able to accelerate? Tired of having to push the button to turn the track off every time you start up the car?
The traction control memory module is used to add a memory feature to the traction control switch in your vehicle. The unit automatically stores the ON/OFF state of traction control when the vehicle is shut off and restores the setting when the ignition is turned on. This module is compatible with any push button (momentary) switch.
For both Automatic and Manual Lexus IS 300s
The TS track memory module http://www.tokensolutions.net/products/Lexus-IS300-traction-control-memory-module.html gives a memory feature to the trac button so that the state of your traction control stays the way you left it, start up after start up.
Easy install, only three wires. * ensure that you solder connections, this module uses very sensitive detection of voltage change to work properly.
Pull the trac/snow heated seats tray out. There are no bolts/screws, it just pulls out. Use painters tape for either edge along the tray to prevent scratches in the case the tray begins to rub anywhere while your working.
Pull the harness off of the trac button (same for manual or auto).
Tap the two wires pictured, cut the insulation as pictured, tap the module's orange wire to the green/red, and the modules black wire to the brown. Soldering is a must, the module functions off of very small and precise changes in voltage.
Locate one of the heated seat harnesses. Does not matter if the car came with heated seats or not, the harness will be there.
Tap the module's yellow wire to this black/white wire. This will not effect heated seat operation if heated seats are installed.
The peskiness of the OE trac feature and button is now removed. Enjoy.
