CEL P0341 after install of AEM FI/C and Boomslang Harness

Postby 04issport » Sun Aug 15, 2010 7:02 pm

Hello all,

I am trying to get this AEM Fi/C up and running 100% before I put the turbo on and for some reason I am getting the OBD2 code of P0341, Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance (A) on certain start-up sequences. From the information I've gathered my ECU will throw this code at a very low RPM (100-200) usually on the initial start-up crank. I am unsure where I need to go from here as I thought that the Boomslang harness had resistors soldered in to remedy any crank signal problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A little more info on the car:

The cam sensor signal is very weak, and so by running it near any high current wire such as injector or FIC power wires, can cause issue. Also, boomslang goes a bit 'overkill' on the cam/crank noise filter resistors, they are 2.2K ohm if I remember. If this is causing the signal to become too weak for even the FIC, then you can use 3K ohm to see if there is improvement.

Problem was fixed with a higher rate resistor. See if some other place would have figured that out- TS has hands one, when you buy from us and have a problem, we have a solution.
